Generally these variations of poker games are easy to understand from a rules perpective, but of course the complexities become more evident when learning the different strategies involved with playing each type successfully. This means that normally it is best to focus on mastering one type of poker game before expanding into others.
Remember that when choosing a type of poker game to focus on, you'll also need to consider the variations within each type - from no limit or limit cash or ring games to the huge range of poker tournaments.

7 Card Stud

Hi Low is played with the same rules as 7 Card Stud, except the pot is split between the highest and lowest hands at the end of a game.
Razz is the same as seven card stud, however it is played using ace-5 low hand values. Games are hard to find.
Similat to 7 card, Draw Poker has a number of different game types including 5 Card Draw, Triple draw, and Badugi. Cash games of draw poker are available, though not often seen in tournaments.
